Viber Out app to call regular number worldwide

Viber is releasing Viber Out app a new service which will allow calls to regular (non Viber) numbers. It is for those who are in Philippines. Viber Out calls to GLOBE Telecom subscribers in the Philippines are currently FREE. 

They have taken initiative in to donate all their profits during this period from Viber Out to their beneficiaries - the Philippine Red Cross & GMA Kapuso Foundation.

To get this working you need latest version of Viber (4.0). To call someone using Viber Out, go to any contact in Viber and tap any of the numbers listed next to "Viber Out".

US Military Members can call home for free from Gmail

All uniformed US military personnel serving all around the now can call Home (US) for free from their Gmail account. All you need is you .mil email address.

Step One:

1. Sign in on the Google Accounts homepage.
2. Click Edit next to 'Email addresses.'
3. Add your .mil email in the 'Add an additional email address' field.
4. Click Save. You will receive an email at your .mil address.
5. Open the verification email and click the verification link.

Step Two:

Click the 'Call phone' link in your chat roster and use the dialpad to make calls. You may be prompted to install the Voice & Video Chat plugin.

Even if you are not a soldier, Gtalk also allows you to make free calls to Canada and US.
